I can't believe this conversation is taking place. There has never been a game like the one last Friday in Pearl River County. Was every thing done perfectly, probably not, but under the circumstances, I think everyone did a great job. As for the extra stands, there is no room for extra stands on the visitors side. Had they put bleachers on the track, there would have been a danger of damaging the surface and besides, the the people on the lower level of the stands and the ones standing behind the fence would not have been able to see. It was talked about that the bands could be put in extra bleachers, but I was told that nether coach wanted to pull the bands out of the stands. Just think if this game would have been in Carriere like someone else stated. It would have been a complete nightmare to try to get anywhere close to the number of people that attended the game. I went to the Oak Grove/Picayune regular season and south state game the year they played and both games were just like last Friday with people standing 5 or 6 deep all around the field both games. The first game I stood, but I made sure I got there earlier the second time around to get a seat.
As for burning the signs, I am a die-hard Picayune fan as well and see no problem with it. I thought it was pretty funny when I saw it. I know the guys in the picture and they are good guys. I was told that the signs were put in the yard of one of the guys in the picture by a Picayune fan and friend of the guy as a joke and this was his "here's one back at you".
Time to lighten up a little I believe and start getting ready for this Saturday night.

Exactly, all around the field. Why didn't they open up more of the track. The PRC side was stuck behind the players. They should have let them at least go to the corner of the end zones. I agree about the terrible job of planning and crowd control.

One reason they cannot let them go around the East End where the Flag pole is and the Cannon in shot by the NJROTC is because of the safety zone of the cannon.  The cannon shoots blanks but still has a safety zone...thats why they have the Cadets on Guard on the track at both sides. But as for any other area...I have no clue.
