Kenny and Melissa are really good people that serve really good food. I didn't know they had closed the FQ location, but I hope the one in Picayune stays open for a long time.

I was in there today to eat and the food is OUTDAMNSTANDING. This place is run by some really good people and they have some really food. If you are in there make sure and say Hi to Kenny or Melissa and they will treat you like family.

I don't know how to put it any better Tide.  OUTDAMNSTANDING pretty much sums it up.

For ya'll that are asking about chicken, they have a couple of chicken based dishes, however, you can get chicken anywhere.  What you can't get is the best dang shrimp, crawfish, alligator, or catfish these guys have anydamnwhere.  The pickles are the best I have ever had (even better than mine).

If you are confused on what to order while sitting at the table and your mouth is watering, go for the CAJUN CONFUSION PO-BOY.  This thing is a monster and has a ton shrimp, crawfish and alligator with the fixings served on a plate the size of a cookie baking sheet.  ABSOLUTELY out of this world.  Eat it all, get your picture on the wall.  It is so good that I could of started on a second one, probably not finish it, but I would of give it a heck of a shot!

One thing I did not know is that alligators like crack, Alligator crack (marshmallows).    :) :)

Quality, quantity, prompt and well worth the cost!!!  Excellent Gator-Me-Crazy, Kenny, Melissa et al!

I had a half Cajun Confusion Poboy here Saturday.  Man was it good.  Overstuffed and delicious. I might have to starve myself and then go for the 16" one.

What did you think of the fried gator (as well as the shrimp and crawfish) on the confusion?  It is the mostest tenderest, deliciousest  gator I have ever eat.  I have had gator many times before (fried, grilled, shish kabob, sauced , etc) and most were the tough red parts of the tail (not from gator me crazy tho).  These guys only use the best parts of the animal and marinate it two days or so, then cook it to perfection.  Go for the 16" and just enjoy it while it lasts because your platter will soon be empty!

I am hooked on this joint and will probably go broke eating there!!

The gator was tender.  I have had it before also, grilled, fried, wrapped in bacon, etc. , but your right this was the best I have ever had.  I am going for the 16" before long.

I wouldn't tell you a place was good unless it was good. Kenny and Melissa are good people and have a great place to eat. We should support them and go eat there.

Well Tide,

It is a good place....

Why don't you organize a PicayuneTalk night there some time.  We can all meet and swap stories.

Eating for me is like going to church. It's a very spiritural thing I only share with those I love :D

Tide, to know us, is to love us!  One never knows how nice we are, until meeting each other.

Jesus would of been eating by himself a whole lot, if not all the time, simply because there were zero folks that are not sinners to some point.  I do not think Tide said anything about eating with sinners.

Also, the owners did not move Gator Me Crazy to Picayune because it was a better location (maybe more convenient)!  There were a whole lot of issues surrounding their decision to open the Picayune location. I don't think there is much better location than on Decatur across from Cafe Du Monde.  The French Quarter location does not serve food any longer but it is open as a tourist center.  The kitchen in the FQ location still exists, maybe you Thinker could open some food establishment with your culinary knowledge.
