I go to Sun Coast Pain Management in Biloxi/Ocean Springs.  They DO take insurance, but you have to be referred by your physician.  They take great care in helping you to get better.  It's not JUST a pill mill.  Chronic pain is terrible, and it infuriates me when people have the opinion that pain clinics should all close down.

Agreed, i am a pain management patient with chronic pain that would otherwise make me want to end it if it was not under control. Even if i was not a patient i would still feel the same way though. I have family members and friends that legitimately need this. People will never understand something until they go through it sometimes. Chronic pain can literally ruin your life. you become less and less functional as it progresses, and then you can really become depressed due to it also. I have gone through all this. You start to feel useless and like a burden to others around you.

I get depressed at times because i can not be the father i should be to my sons. I can not play football or other sports with them, i can not wrestle around with them. I miss so much of my kids life by being in bad shape. I have to have 6 titanium plates put in my neck, rods on the bottom of my spine, shoulder surgery and a new knee cap.

I am not addicted to pills, i am addicted to getting out of bed and living as much of a normal and functioning life as possible. How do you tell someone that you want to take life away from them? Takes real kind and understanding people to think what they do about pain management patients.

Thanks for the info about sun pain clinic, i have to look into them.

Flip, they have an office at the Cedar Lake exit in Biloxi, and one in Ocean Springs.  I see the nurse practitioner, James Meeks.  I've only seen the actual doctors when I was having procedures done.  I really like the clinic.  They are very strict with the rules concerning narcotics, but they have to be due to the number of people who abuse that system.  I'll be going down there next week for a discogram, as it looks as though I'm facing back surgery.  If you, or anyone else, needs additional info on the clinic, I'd be happy to answer any questions.  Oh yeah, you have to go to a psychiatrist for an evaluation as well....forgot about that.

I'm back>>>>>> :-*   All I have to say is hahahaha. Now the very talented and smart Roving Reporter has to do his job and report who owns and allowed them to stay and WHY he continued to keep a facility here to kill our community and our children. It was for GREED  $$$$$$$$$$$. Rox is not going to name names just facts. You miss Rox  :-*  xoxoxo
I think he is the same one that owned the clinics in Slidell and is actually on House Arrest awaiting trial. If it's the same owner, he had clinics in Tn, Fl and Kentucky as well.  I could be wrong though. Sad though because of people like that the people that really are in Pain just have to suffer.

PM me the info about the clinic. I am bouncing around right now, my doc quit his practice and it is getting impossible to get help, especially in the Yune area. Evil pills, alcohol is going to destroy the place you know.
