Bad Drivers
« on: December 12, 2011, 11:59:33 AM »
Maybe people are overly excited about Christmas, but it seems driving around town can be treacherous!  I keep seeing people running red lights, turning in front of another car, pulling out in front of cars, and of course speeding!  Everyone, be extra careful and watch out for bad drivers!

Maggysue,  I completely agree and more.  These idiots that think a parking lot and the parking spots are an OBSTACLE course are the worse.  I have been hit three times combined in the parking lots at the school and Winn Dixie for idiots cutting from behind parked cars and cutting thru spots and they completely think they are right for doing it.  Sadly this PPD comes and can't do a thing about it and good luck fighting these liars through insurance.  The PPD as well as the school officers say that the majority of their parking lot calls are for IDIOTS doing this in walmart parking lot.  The next best thing to do in these situations is to take matters in your own hands and then the PPD will surely act in those instances, go figure.  They can not do anything concerning a vehicle accident, but they can dam n sure do  it in any other matter!    SLOW DOWN YOU MORONS AND OBEY THE RULES OF THE ROAD!!! (IF YOU KNOW THEM).  THE TRAFFIC COPS(??????) OF PICAYUNE HAVE NO CLUE, THEY ARE JUST AS GUILTY!!!!

Might the problem be Private Property?

Absolutely the problem, for vehicle infractions, but anything else goes.  Back in time the police would at least give a determination of cause without an official police report.  But not no mo!

Why can't I sell my crack :) in the parking lot  without them arresting me!  Why can they enforce the fire lanes in front of the stores?  ETC.  By the way, these are rhetorical questions.

As I am typing this officer just now blew by in that charger of his doing at least 60 in a 30, (this time every morning).  Obviously calls reporting him to the department are falling on deaf ears.  The neighborhood is going to hear sirens one morning, and it is going to be fire dept. using the jaws of life to peel his butt out of the car, after  they drag his car out of the nice pine trees that he will be getting tangled up in going around a gravel littered curve.

Must be on his way to set up a speed trap on the interstate.

Traffic laws apply on public roadways, while criminal laws apply everywhere..Some things that you might think of as traffic (DWI), are actually criminal code violations, so can be enforced on private property, at least in LA..I am not schooled in MS statutes.

I totally disagree with that.  The driving is far worst.  Not only that you still see a lot of trailers behind pickups with no tag.  Right after Katrina it was hard to see a trailer with a tag.  They didn't enforce then because of the situation.  Okay, it's time now.  I saw some today.

Yep, you are right, I was just pointing out, there has always been bad drivers here.  No tags on trailers, that is so true, I just wish they had tail lights that worked.
