We had a big oak real close to our house that had to come down several years ago. Called a few guys. One was really expensive. One wouldn't ever even give me a price. It was obvious he just didn't want the job. It wasn't going to be a fun job. The tree was in my front yard and not only way too close to the house, but overhung the power lines out front. Ended up using David Lomas. He did a beautiful job and charged me half what the other guy was asking. I got him back over here after the hurricane, when I had some trees and dead limbs that needed to be cut. Again, I was very satisfied. I know its too late for you now, but just for future reference.
