No college to speak of I don't think.

I do not know the individual you are talking about, however I would like to comment on the "No college to speak of" part. You don't need a degree to be smart. Helpful yes, but I know at least 6 millionaires in Picayune who have no college to speak of and none of whom inherited it. I do not know of any with degrees who are millionaires in Picayune. Maybe you know some. Don't that just piss you off when you went to school all those years and somebody less educated than you has all that money while you are on a budget.

Who said anything about millionaires or money? I am sure I know the same 6 that you do along with a few more who are farmers and have very little education. Money has nothing to do with what I am talking about. This school board job probably pays a couple hundred a month, if that. Have you ever seen a teacher pursue a Master, Specialist or Doctoral degree with the intention of getting rich?
You don't have to have a degree to be smart at whatever it is you do, this is a Board of Education job, hence the word 'education' in it. I'd like to have someone who at least knows the difference between Primary, Secondary and Post-secondary education; someone who knows the difference between certified personnel and non-certified.....etc.
And no, it doesn't piss me off when somebody has "all that money", I am one of those rare individuals who love to see others do well, for hard work to pay off as long as it's earned and earned honestly. And here's a little secret, everyone is on a budget of some sort.....me, you and who. Warren Buffet can't buy Germany......
This is just typical Picayune politics. Frank will just be a clueless puppet for whoever pursuaded him to take this job, he'll have to ask someone about every item on the agenda. This will be just an extension of power from the city council for control over the school system.
Personally, I think they should have given the job to Allen Hickman, didn't he run for it but was defeated? At least Allen has a sincere interest in the school system and the community IMHO.
